Our Story
BiBO
[latin] v. drink, toast, thirst for, frequent, to quaff
Located downtown in the small but vibrant community of Osoyoos in the heart of the South Okanagan wine country, BiBO winebar fills the need for an intimate meeting place for locals and tourists who appreciate great wine and food. BiBO has a small sidewalk patio on Mainstreet and is minutes from the beach.
BiBO serves unique South Okanagan wines and handcrafted Tinwhistle Draft beer from Penticton.
Chef Liam McNulty offers handmade charcuturie from Oyama Meat Co. on Granville Island, and creates daily dinner and lunch specials, inventive salads, delicious braised meat sandwiches, and excellent soups. BiBO offers a daily brunch menu including classics like ‘eggs benny’ and ‘heuvos rancheros’.
Music is upbeat and friendly featuring ethnic sounds, eclectic mixes, and alternative jazz.
The focus of the room is a 35ft long wooden bar which gives the feel of a modern day saloon. The room was designed and constructed by Edmonton native, Trevor Furmanek, who designed the original Culina Restaurant in Edmonton.
BiBO is operated by Vancouver native Peter Barclay. He decided to trade the rows of cars and concrete for those of the vines in 2007 and made the move to Osoyoos. With Peter’s approachable wine list and evolving wines by the glass, he provides something for all palates.
